Job Summary
Serve as Global Medical Advisor on assigned projects, providing scientific guidance to Project Leaders and support to investigative sites on protocol clarifications, inclusion/exclusion determinations, and patient safety issues. Perform medical reviews of protocols, Investigative Drug Brochures, Case Report Forms, Clinical Study Reports, and adverse event coding, while reviewing Serious Adverse Events in collaboration with Pharmacovigilance. Deliver therapeutic area training to clinical teams, attend investigator meetings, kick-off sessions, and weekly team meetings, and remain available 24/7 for urgent protocol-related questions. Requires extensive keyboard and telephone use, with potential for regular travel. This role supports IQVIA's mission to accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative medical treatments through intelligent connections in clinical research and healthcare intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school with a curriculum relevant to general medical education
- 5-7 years of experience in clinical medicine
- Ability to work in partnership with a multidisciplinary group of colleagues, including translating concepts into practical approaches and promoting consensus
- Outstanding ability to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to work effectively within a team, and matrix environment
- Ability to organize and work efficiently on several projects, each with specific requirements and/or shifting priorities
- Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Board certification or board qualifications in medical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology or internal medicine (with hematology or oncology experience)
- May require regular travel
