Job Summary
The Associate Medical Director, Family Practice is responsible for overseeing medical management and clinical services in Family Practice care. This includes maintaining advanced clinical expertise, monitoring clinician performance, developing improvement strategies, reviewing and updating family practice policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves direct patient care and requires comprehensive family practice skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, along with effective collaboration with clinic staff. Candidates must have significant experience in outpatient primary care, a completed medical degree and residency, relevant board certification, and the ability to obtain necessary credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a M.D. or D.O. degree from an U.S. accredited medical school or school of osteopathy medicine.
- Completion of a US accredited residency program in Family Practice or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current Board Certification in Family Practice.
- Current, valid and unrestricted State of California medical licensure.
- Unrestricted ability to obtain Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other payor credentialing.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least three years of recent experience in outpatient primary care practice.
- Previous management or leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a FQHC setting preferred.
- ACLS or PALS certification desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Must provide proof of immunizations prior to start date.
- Must undergo a criminal background investigation and drug screen.
