Associate Medical Director – Clinical Informatics

Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership for health information technology and oversee electronic health record implementation and maintenance. Collaborate with clinical, program, and administrative teams to identify new interfaces, evaluate existing programs, and determine which interventions best serve the health information system. Develop and implement training programs with EMR trainers to educate all staff medical providers on electronic health records used for direct patient care. Dedicate a minimum of 60% of work duties to clinical care, with the remaining 40% focused on administrative and management supervisory responsibilities. Function independently on a daily basis while reporting to the Chief Medical Officer.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO Degree
- An active, unrestricted CA license
- Epic Builder Certification
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Med/Peds
- Three years' experience as a primary care physician
- Minimum of five years experience in a leadership position in a primary care setting
- Knowledgeable in Health Informatics

Desired Qualifications
- Five years of greater preferred
- Minimum of five years experience in a leadership position in a primary care setting, FQHC and Community Clinics preferred
- Previous experience as a volunteer, staff member, or faculty member in a setting serving underserved people
- Ability to speak and communicate in verbal/written Spanish
- Knowledge of medical problems of minority, medically underserved populations, and the homeless
