Job Summary
Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development responsible for the design, medical oversight, and data analysis of late-phase endocrinology trials; serves as Medical Monitor; leads study teams; ensures trial documents (protocols, investigator brochures, medical monitoring plans, site training materials, clinical study reports, health authority responses, SOPs) are completed; contributes to the Clinical Development Plan; collaborates with cross-functional colleagues to optimize product development; maintains up-to-date knowledge of science, regulatory guidance, and good clinical practices; travels up to 20% domestically and internationally for scientific meetings; role based in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. degree
- Completion of ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship (strongly preferred)
- Physician licensure in at least one state (strongly preferred)
- Board-certified (strongly preferred), with specialty in endocrinology highly desired
- At least 2 years of experience with clinical trial design and execution
- At least 3 years of industry experience or equivalent
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to lead study teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Knowledge of good clinical practices and regulatory guidance
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
- Ability to contribute to regulatory submissions and clinical documents
- Experience with design, oversight, and data interpretation of late-phase trials
- Ability to draft clinical development plans
- Experience with site relationships and investigator interactions
- Knowledge of clinical trial protocols and health authority responses
- Familiarity with clinical study reports and SOPs
- Ethical standards adherence
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Strong judgment in handling confidential information
