Job Summary
Associate Medical Director leading a primary care clinical team, combining clinical practice with leadership and operational management to optimize patient care and align with Value-Based Care principles. Responsibilities include strategic clinical leadership, recruiting and developing clinical staff, conducting regular center visits and 1:1s, coaching clinicians, driving clinical performance metrics (including patient experience and HEDIS), budgeting and staffing discussions with operations, and representing the CenterWell/Conviva brands in local communities. The role requires 40 hours per week, is patient-facing, and includes TB screening requirements and adherence to vaccine policies. Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks) and clinical decision resources (e.g., UpToDate) is expected. The position emphasizes collaboration with operational leaders and partners to achieve high-quality senior primary care outcomes and value-based care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD/DO) with a current medical license
- Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
- Minimum five years of experience in outpatient practice with clinical experience in primary care, senior health, and value-based care (VBC)
- Minimum three years of experience leading clinicians in a leadership role with demonstrated impact on clinician talent, culture, and performance
- Experienced with clinical technology platforms and EMR systems (e.g., athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks) and documentation tools (e.g., Dragon, Abridge)
