Job Summary
Perform basic patient care duties under licensed practitioner delegation, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Assist with both administrative and clinical tasks while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain National Provider BLS certification upon hire and utilize Electronic Health record (EHR) systems in a clinic setting. Requires graduation from an accredited school, registered apprenticeship program, or two years of military medical training. One year of work experience as a medical assistant is preferred, along with six months of high-level customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
- 6 months of Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)
