Job Summary
Associate, Mechanical leads a project design team within Introba's management structure, overseeing design staff performance, workload forecasting, and stakeholder coordination to deliver HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design solutions. Responsibilities include regular team meetings to address issues, distribution of work based on staff skills, maintaining quality control, representing Introba in meetings with clients and regulators, and ensuring adherence to contract documents. The role requires strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and coaching abilities, with substantial experience in mechanical design and project management within consulting engineering settings. Qualifications include 6+ years in HVAC/plumbing/fire protection design, 5-10 years of site inspection and field review experience, familiarity with BC Building Code/By-law, and a Professional Engineer (or equivalent) designation or eligibility for LEED accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design experience
- 5-10 years of mechanical site inspections, field review reports, and attendance at site meetings
- Familiarity with the BC Building Code and BC Building By-law
- Minimum 5 years project management experience in consulting engineering
- Professional Engineer (CEng, PEng or equivalent), Applied Science Technologist (AScT) designation, or eligibility to apply
- LEED Accreditation an asset
