Job Summary
Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of medium to large-scale building services projects in Melbourne. Role involves ownership from concept through construction, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, managing scope/program/budget, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to drive successful delivery and long-term relationships. Must have 10–12+ years in mechanical building services, strong HVAC/mechanical systems knowledge, and solid understanding of Australian Standards/NCC. The team emphasizes flexibility and a supportive culture with opportunities to lead high-impact projects and clear career progression at Associate level and beyond.
Required Qualifications
- 10–12+ years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering
- Proven experience leading medium to large-scale projects within a consultancy environment
- Strong technical capability across HVAC and mechanical systems
- Deep understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and authority requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, clients and multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach
- Australian citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects
