Job Summary
Oversee and manage a range of mechanical engineering projects with technical leadership in mechanical design; act as the face of AMA during interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and project teams; lead and coordinate daily activities of internal and external design teams; mentor 1-2 developing engineers; manage projects through all development phases and ensure timely, quality delivery; ensure client satisfaction and robust communications; in-depth knowledge of building codes, drafting standards, and construction drawings; strong AutoCAD and Revit skills; Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7+ years of experience required, PE highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience
- PE highly preferred
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Expert understanding of construction processes and drawings
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Experience managing project teams
- Ability to coordinate and lead daily team activities
- Ability to mentor engineers (1-2 developing engineers)
- Face of AMA in client, contractor, architect interactions
