Job Summary
Operate non-CNC machinery, including gluing, clamping, painting, and oil filling equipment, while assembling, disassembling, and fastening transformer parts using hand and power tools. Measure components with precision instruments, inspect quality criteria, and document results to ensure specifications are met. Connect, crimp, solder, and braze internal leads; wrap and insulate wires according to work instructions. Follow bills of material and technical drawings to process components, fabricate wooden fixtures, and safely operate material handling equipment like forklifts and overhead cranes. Perform basic electrical tests, vacuuming, and oil recovery procedures while adhering to Hyosung HICO safety, quality, and environmental policies. Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor with process check sheets and TPM tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year Associate's Degree from a recognized school in electrical or related technical field
- minimum one year experience in testing or utilities
- Multiple years' experience as electrician or service technician
- high voltage equipment and/or utility industry experience
- Developed written and verbal communication skills
- Developed math and electrical engineering skills
- Broad experience using inspection tools, instruments and equipment
- Developed computer skills for entering and retrieving data
- Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings
- Ability to inspect work
- Ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, stretch, and kneel frequently
- Ability to work in confined spaces and climb/stand on ladders
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to perform repetitive movements
- Ability to follow basic 6S workplace organization skills
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to work in normal indoor temperatures
