Job Summary
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will support and develop CNC machining processes and CNC machines, review drawings for manufacturability, and prepare detailed manufacturing instructions and programming data under guidance from senior engineers. You will coordinate with departments to optimize facility and process use, establish standard setup/run times, conduct studies for more efficient manufacturing of parts, make recommendations for equipment/process/material/design changes, solve shop floor problems, generate operation sheets and manufacturing procedures, and spend time in the production shop improving parts and processes. The role is based onsite in Torrance, CA with a 9/80 schedule and requires a BS in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, CNC shop experience, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on experience in a Machine Shop such as programming, setting up, running, and troubleshooting CNC machines
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
