Job Summary
Perform operations in downstream manufacturing (AR30) at Amgen's Rhode Island facility, including protein purification processes under GMP and SOPs; conduct in-process sampling, chromatography, UF/DF operations, and drug substance fill operations; inspect/install single-use components, assist with documentation (Manufacturing Procedures, Deviations, Safety Reporting, Equipment logs), and provide basic troubleshooting. Participate in cross-functional teams to support CAPAs and continuous improvement; maintain an inspection-ready workspace; manage material inventory; coordinate with DeltaV/LIMS/EBRs systems. Demonstrate technical writing and project management skills; apply basic chemistry, biology, and analytical method knowledge; rotate on a 12-hour schedule (7AM–7PM) with two-week rotations and benefits include premium pay for Sundays and onboarding of 2–6 weeks (administrative hours initially). Required Qualifications
- High school/GED + 2 years of manufacturing or operations work experience
- Associate’s Degree + 6 months of manufacturing or operations work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
