Job Summary
Manage and grow a portfolio of municipal water and wastewater accounts through direct and indirect selling models, including distributors, agents, and regional partners. Develop territory sales plans aligned with growth objectives, identify new opportunities through bidding processes and renewals, and support municipal chemical bids in partnership with technical teams. Serve as the primary commercial contact for municipal stakeholders, promote differentiated treatment solutions, and coordinate plant trials and performance reviews. Maintain accurate CRM data, forecast revenue, and track channel performance metrics while providing market feedback on competitors and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
- 3–7+ years of sales experience
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in municipal water/wastewater, industrial chemicals, or technical solutions selling
- Demonstrated success selling through indirect channels or distributors
- Strong understanding of municipal procurement and public‐sector selling
- Excellent relationship‐building, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience with water treatment chemicals (coagulants, disinfectants, polymers, corrosion/scale inhibitors)
- Knowledge of NSF, AWWA, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience influencing bid strategy and contract negotiations
- Technical aptitude with solution‐based or consultative sales
