Job Summary
Administer sales incentive compensation programs by processing payments, validating data, and reconciling payroll files for the Individual Life Insurance business. Support monthly and semi-monthly cycles, including employee changes and plan updates, while creating variable comp summaries and forecasts for financial accruals. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and resolve issues before payroll processing to maintain audit readiness and operational controls. Partner with Sales, Finance, and HR teams to ensure consistent compensation administration and support internal testing and process improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail within a global financial services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, logical functions, data validation, and large dataset analysis
- Experience performing data reconciliations and documenting discrepancies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- EWA for this role is hybrid two days in the Hartford, CT office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sales compensation, commissions, payroll, finance, accounting, sales operations, or related functions
- Experience with Microsoft Access or similar data extraction and reporting tools
- Experience supporting testing, compliance, audit, internal controls, or reporting activities
- Financial services or insurance industry experience preferred
