Job Summary
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, including developing control modules, managing backups, and supporting FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities. Monitor and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, and flow devices while diagnosing communication issues and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Optimize control strategies to improve process performance and integrate systems with PLCs and SCADA. Manage instrument spares, vendor interactions, and participate in plant projects involving automation upgrades. Contribute to moderately complex projects with effective time management and demonstrate exceptional planning and organizing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Automation & Instrumentation.
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Understanding of programming and proficiency in at least one language
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to train others effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity.
- Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
