Job Summary
Follow market trends to identify active participants and prevailing terms in lending and underwriting, then translate these insights into updates for internal and external stakeholders. Pitch clients on market status, syndication strategies, and structures to best execute capital markets deals. Originate, structure, and execute syndicated senior and subordinated loans by partnering with sector teams to develop market-based solutions. Manage loan execution through negotiation of terms, preparation of marketing materials, and engagement with banks and law firms. Produce advisory materials for internal approvals, including market analysis and sell-down strategies. Maintain active dialogue with peers for market intelligence and collaborate with senior bankers, risk teams, and external advisors on credit processes. Organize lender calls to generate deal demand and ensure compliance with investor policies and accurate financial reporting. Complete FINRA regulatory examinations and work in the NYC office four days a week.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience in loan syndications, leveraged finance or high yield debt capital markets
- Good current relationships or other relevant work experience in investor-facing environment
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both orally and written with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, organized, and articulate manner
- Familiarity with legal documentation and ability to understand complex financing structures
- Solid understanding of the loan capital markets, loan investor base and financing structures relevant to the target sectors
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines on active mandates in the syndicated loan market
- Strong networking skills both internally and external to the firm
- Genuine team player who gets things done and helps other to be successful
- No work restrictions (legally be able to work in the United States)
- Ability to travel and work at any moment when given notice
- Ability to be in the office 4 days a week
- Experience with Bloomberg and other market data sources
- Successful completion of FINRA regulatory examinations covering the SIE, Series 79 and Series 63

- Background with leveraged finance, private credit, and/or capital markets experience
