Job Summary

Associate Linux System Administrator (entry level) responsible for deploying and managing Linux instances across on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Responsibilities include installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrading systems; ensuring uptime, performance, and security; configuring CPU/memory/disk partitions; automating tasks with Ansible, Terraform, and similar tooling; managing virtual networks, storage, and access controls; incident management via on-call rotations; and adhering to change-management processes. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and knowledge of Linux distributions (SUSE/Red Hat or equivalents), scripting/programming concepts, cloud concepts, YAML/JSON, and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, Terraform). Strong collaboration and communication skills are expected, with capability to follow guidance from managers and senior admins.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Basic knowledge of SUSE, Red Hat or other Linux Operating System
  • Ability to write scripts and code
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, GCP or similar
  • Knowledge of YAML, JSON, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python, Terraform
  • Source code control or similar tools
  • Ability to operate and collaborate across team boundaries
  • Good communications skills
  • Able to follow direction from Manager, Team Leads and Senior administrators
