Job Summary
Negotiate and administer purchase options, easement agreements, and closing transactions for real estate and project development, including title and survey diligence. Draft, negotiate, and manage key agreements for project financing, such as ground leases and complex title requirements. Advise on local land use permitting, zoning strategies, and broader regulatory or environmental matters. Supervise outside counsel while independently managing transaction logistics and identifying business risks. Represent the organization professionally with landowners, officials, and financing partners. Manage multiple deadlines and deliver practical legal advice to support commercial objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Legal Counsel, Real Estate and Project Development
- Nashville, TN (remote considered on a case by case basis)
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited US law school
- active bar admission in good standing in at least one state
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a real estate attorney at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
- Substantial experience with real estate purchase and sale transactions, title and survey review, including experience leading transactions and diligence independently
- Demonstrated ability to Manage multiple priorities concurrently with strong attention to detail and organization
- Demonstrated ability to Provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice
- Demonstrated ability to Build relationships with internal stakeholders
- If remote, maintain strong relationships and collaboration with both remote colleagues and in-office teams
Desired Qualifications
- Renewable energy experience preferred but not required
