Job Summary
Draft and review transactional documents, contracts, and agreements for deal execution, investment lifecycle management, and project finance. Provide legal, regulatory, and corporate governance advice to facilitate informed decisions while assessing and mitigating risks in acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio transactions. Manage legal due diligence, coordinate with external counsel, and support signing and closing deliverables across business operations. Handle company secretarial administration, statutory filings, and litigation preparation as required. Engage proactively with business teams to gather information, interpret contractual provisions, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree holder in law from an internationally reputable university
- Admission to practice in the UAE or an internationally recognised jurisdiction
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong theoretical legal knowledge
- Basic knowledge of the legal, legislative and regulatory environment of relevant geographic markets locally and globally as related to renewables
- Good knowledge of the UAE's laws, regulations, and legal reporting standards
- Knowledge of contracts pre-assessment, negotiation, formulation, and management
- Ability to lead negotiations related to familiar issues and matters with guidance from senior team members, or attending complex negotiations with team members
- Ability to clearly justify legal position and form legal arguments
- Strong research skills and ability to gather and assess the right information at the right time in relation to legal matters and precedents
- A practical, hands-on disposition
