Job Summary
Support a Wealth Management team in Vancouver by working directly with Investment Advisors to establish and maintain strong client relationships. Assist with updating client Financial Plans, processing and confirming transactions, and executing trading orders while providing quotes. Maintain account lists, compile statistical reports, and follow up on client documentation for proper maintenance. Serve existing clients and develop the wealth business through various marketing initiatives and prospecting activities. Manage administrative duties and coordinate next steps for prospect meetings to convert prospects into clients.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as Registered Representative (RR) with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO)
- 5 years of related experience
- well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to support new client acquisition and asset gathering through prospecting, referral development, networking, and professional follow-up
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to identify client needs, uncover opportunities, and position the team's wealth management services in a clear and compliant manner
- Comfortable preparing for prospect meetings, conducting thoughtful discovery, documenting client goals, and coordinating timely next steps to help convert prospects into clients
- Ability to develop and maintain a disciplined pipeline of prospective clients, centres of influence, referrals, and follow-up activities
- Professional presentation skills, including the ability to communicate investment concepts, financial planning ideas, and the team's value proposition to high-net-worth clients and prospects
- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take initiatives and multi-task
- Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of MS Office programs
- An interest in Financial Planning and/or Insurance
- Experience with Dataphile, Salesforce and netx360
- proof of citizenship, permanent residence or eligibility to work in Canada with no restrictions
