Job Summary
Process all receipt/shipment documentation into the inventory system and verify accuracy of goods. Perform data entry tasks, generate pick tickets for order fulfillment, and validate fulfilled orders for accuracy. Schedule, perform, and reconcile inventory cycle counts while researching and resolving discrepancies. Process outbound orders in the database and ensure invoices reach the appropriate departments. This role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating forklifts or pallet jacks. Candidates need a high school diploma, two years of food warehouse experience, food safety certification, and proficiency in Microsoft Office or inventory management software.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of food warehouse experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education, experience in warehousing, shipping and receiving
- Certified in the use of forklifts and electrically powered pallet jack
- willingness and capability to become certified
- Food safety certification
- Able to lift/lower, push, pull, and carry boxes/packages weighing up to 50 lb for 8-hour shifts
- Ability to work in an environment that will contain variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to noise, dust/dirt
- Able to bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk and turn/pivot throughout an 8 hour shift, 5 days a week
- Applicants should not have a fear of heights or use of a cherry picker forklift
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Work, Excel) and promptness responding to emails
- Ability to work independently and be accurate with data
- Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed
- All internal candidates must be in good standing with no corrective actions within the last 90 days
