Job Summary
Assist professional staff in classrooms and instructional areas; support instruction by implementing planned activities, preparing instructional materials, operating audiovisual equipment, and assisting in maintaining student records. Supervises students during arrival/dismissal, lunch, and play under district staff supervision; presents subject matter using varied methods under teacher supervision; assists students with lesson assignments and self-care activities as needed; follows policies and procedures and supports confidentiality and professional conduct. Requires CPI/restraint certification, First Aid/CPR training, and a high school diploma (preferred or equivalent). Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office; ability to type 40 wpm; physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds; ten-month schedule; non-exempt status.
Required Qualifications
