Job Summary
Associate, Infrastructure Project Advisory (Construction/Engineering) at KPMG, within Advisory’s Infrastructure and Projects Advisory. Responsible for reviewing and recommending improvements to construction management processes and internal controls; leading construction contract reviews, compliance audits, and project oversight for large capital projects; defining and implementing policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting structures; conducting project reviews on completion, change orders, estimates, schedule delays, and productivity; collaborating with engagement teams to collect data, analyze, document, and present observations and recommendations using analytics and visualization tools; working under mentorship with Managers/Directors/Partners and contributing to 360 mentoring efforts; maintaining integrity and professionalism in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field (minimum); Master's degree preferred
- Minimum one year of field construction management or construction advisory experience on large capital projects
- Knowledge of construction phases: planning, WBS, pre-construction, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, quality management, project reporting, closeout
- Professional Engineer, Project Management, Certified Construction Manager, CPA, AIA, or other professional certification preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, records retention, and work-paper organization
