Job Summary
Build and maintain molds for Alcon R&D molding rooms, setting up EDM sinker, wire, and vertical machining centers. Assist engineers with debugging molds, measuring critical dimensions, and troubleshooting tool setup issues. Install, start up, and validate injection molding equipment while resolving low-yield defect issues. Update standard operating procedures and provide training to other departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete technical improvement projects for better plastic mold and lens quality. This on-site role in Fort Worth, Texas supports the surgical group's manufacturing of cataract removal and laser vision correction equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 3 Years of Relevant Experience
