Job Summary
Conduct thorough cleaning of locker rooms, restrooms, high-traffic areas, labs, warehouses, and offices using safe work practices and proper techniques. Perform repetitive tasks including dusting, sink wiping, restroom restocking, window blind cleaning, and floor scrubbing with a machine. Assist in setting up and cleaning up for company events, replenish cafeteria supplies, and maintain proper gowning and hygiene to ensure product integrity. Collect and dispose of trash and recycling, clean warehouse racks and exterior facilities, and remove snow from entrances as needed. Report equipment or product malfunctions to the supervisor and adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements while working extended hours and occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- 1+ years in housekeeping services
- Must demonstrate timely and reliable attendance
- Must be able to speak, read and write basic English to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
- Ability to use floor scrubbing machine
- Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance after the training period is completed, and to do so without injury to oneself or other individuals
- Must be able to work around tablet, capsules, powder and cleaning products
- Must clean, walk, stand for a minimum of 6 hours per shift
- Must be able to push & pull a janitor's work cart or Zamboni floor cleaner of 15 – 25 pounds and be able to lift up to 20lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds
- Uses hands to finger, handle, feel, lifting to waist height and/or above shoulder height, reaching overhead, frequent bending from waist, or squatting, lean over equipment as well as kneeling on the floor to clean under furniture; mopping/vacuuming/sweeping
- Occasionally works from a rolling ladder or step stool
- Must be able wear all PPE including lab coat, face mask, booties, gloves, safety glasses/goggles to work in and around manufacturing areas
Desired Qualifications
- Past work experience in an FDA regulated workplace and/or manufacturing industries preferred
