Job Summary
Lead and supervise the nursing operations in Cogir Senior Living retirement residences under the Health and Wellness leadership, combining clinical practice on the floor with staff management. Responsibilities include supervising daily nursing department operations, participating in care conferences, engaging with residents and families, recruiting onboarding and scheduling, supervising and evaluating clinical staff, applying the disciplinary process with the Health and Wellness Manager and Executive Director, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable provincial/federal acts. Role requires ongoing knowledge of relevant regulations, ability to advocate for residents rights and needs, strong communication, confidentiality, critical thinking, and teamwork. Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with regulatory body in applicable province
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience, preferably in a retirement residence
- Experience with developing service plans for quality of care
- Up to date knowledge of regulations, acts, and program standards; vulnerability sector check within last six months or willingness to obtain
