Job Summary

Rack and stack equipment, troubleshoot hardware issues, and ensure seamless server implementation and decommissioning in a secure, raised-floor data center environment. Verify power connections and status lights, install and label cables, and maintain detailed documentation of hardware location and connectivity using an online ticketing system. Manage cable installation and equipment handling while documenting problem resolution summaries. This role supports mission-critical operations for clients, requiring the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Candidates must meet specific qualifications including knowledge of cable installation, experience with computer hardware internals, and the physical ability to lift 50lbs. Ensono offers unlimited paid days off, multiple health plan options, and a flexible work schedule, with base pay ranging from $35,000 to $58,000 annually.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cable installation
  • Some experience working with the internals of computer hardware
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to document problem resolution summaries using an online ticketing system
  • Basic understanding of data center operations and equipment handling

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of related Data Center experience
  • Hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair skills in the area of network equipment
  • A+, Network + certification and/or PC maintenance work experience
  • Experience working in a medium to large-scale computer center environment
  • Familiarity with raised floor management and computer/network installations
  • Knowledge of fiber and copper cable, legacy and current technologies
  • Working knowledge of legacy environments i.e. AS/400 and S/390 or UNIX, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience in Production control activities, Network Operations, and Service Desk operations
  • Understanding of mainframe installations and terminology
