Job Summary
Conduct industry, company, and market research while building sophisticated financial models to support client strategy and transaction execution. Prepare high-quality pitch materials and assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, and capital structure mandates across North America and key global markets. Build professional connections with clients, prospects, and senior executives while maintaining internal databases and comparable company materials. This Associate role within the Financial Institutions & Sponsors team offers exposure to senior client executives and internal product partners. The expected annualized base salary is $135,000, with work arrangements including a proportion of on-site and remote work discussed during the interview.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, asset management, financial institutions coverage, transaction advisory or a related field
- a degree/diploma in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, business or a related discipline
- experience in financial modelling, valuation analysis, accounting concepts and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Desired Qualifications
- direct experience supporting clients in the financial services or private capital sectors
- Completion of, or progress toward, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Finance
- experience with market data and research tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet or similar platforms
