Job Summary

Perform flight controls installation, removal, and rigging; service landing gear and essential component change outs for servo pumps, filters, and engine parts. Read engineering drawings and technical orders to execute structural modifications and repairs. Access aircraft data systems to initiate parts and discrepancy requests while maintaining necessary certifications. Prioritize workload to meet project schedules and apply Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems for safe access. Diagnose assembly malfunctions using precision measuring instruments and tools to ensure conformance to quality requirements. Ascend and descend vertical ladders and work in confined spaces to lift loads up to 35 pounds. This role is 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX, requiring variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support mission requirements. Candidates must pass an assessment during training and hold Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience Depot Level/Heavy General maintenance
  • 4+ years of experience with various aircraft exterior and interior systems including hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines
  • 4+ years of experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
  • 4+ years of experience accessing computer aircraft data
  • Able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays
  • Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location (San Antonio, TX)
  • Able to pass an assessment during the training cycle
  • Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience performing aircraft engine runs, and engine borescope inspections
  • Operate an aircraft tug/tow vehicle, forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment
  • Experience with REDARS and/or Gold-ESP
