Associate General Manager

Job Summary
General Manager-level responsibilities focusing on production leadership within Carvana’s Inspection & Reconditioning Center: oversee multiple reconditioning lines, plan production for shifts, and manage facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality when the General Manager is not onsite. Drive identification of bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, develop and execute action plans with site leadership; lead weekly performance reviews and guide daily team huddles. Support continuous improvement projects across the site and region, develop and coach Reconditioning Lead/Manager populations, embody Carvana values, ensure adherence to health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines, and facilitate flexible scheduling and relocation where needed.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team of over 50 associates
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be open to relocation, ideally nationwide but at minimum regionally (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West Coast)
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to walk up to three miles each day
- Ability to work variable schedules
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
