Job Summary
Associate General Counsel for Kansas City-based operations will act as the senior legal leader, serving as a key advisor to senior leadership, leading commercial contracting and negotiation strategy across commodity transactions, supply chain, logistics, and services; provide regulatory, compliance, and risk guidance; support joint ventures, governance, and strategic initiatives; build scalable legal processes and infrastructure; oversee a small team of compliance and legal support; collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver practical, executive-ready legal guidance; support governance structures, M&A, cross-border matters, and CLM improvements; candidates should hold a J.D. and active bar admission (Missouri preferred or ability to obtain), with ~6–10+ years of experience and a strong background in contracting and negotiation; preference for Midwest/Kansas City ties, though relocation is considered.
