Job Summary
Provide legal advice to divisions on land acquisition, disposition, and development, including reviewing and drafting contracts, title documents, and land use agreements. Represent Mattamy Homes in disputes with customers, contractors, and vendors while negotiating complex real estate and development contracts. Conduct environmental, title, and survey reviews for transactions, responding to objections from title underwriters and opposing counsel. Draft and manage community development district financing documents and assist with corporate compliance, intellectual property, and entity management. Disperse legal guidance to support operational efficiency and mitigate risk across divisions.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school
- active license to practice law in Florida
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in the practice of real estate, construction, land use, and community association law
- proven representation of homebuilders and/or land developers
- prior in-house experience with a homebuilding and/or land development company
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
