Job Summary
Associate General Counsel to lead GlossGenius’s legal function in a high-ownership, high-visibility role based in New York City, focusing on commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with the CEO, CBO, and executive team to advise on strategic initiatives, negotiations of enterprise contracts and financing-related documents, and to build scalable legal infrastructure (templates, playbooks, workflows, internal policies). You will oversee outside counsel, shape AI- and data-related regulatory strategy, and drive transformation of legal operations with AI tools to accelerate contract review and drafting. Requirements include a JD, active NY bar membership (preferred), 10+ years of experience across generalist practice areas, deep knowledge of AI regulatory considerations, and a hands-on leadership style. Required Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- active bar membership (NY preferred)
- 10+ years of legal experience (commercial, corporate, employment, privacy, regulatory)
- broad generalist across commercial, corporate, employment, privacy, and regulatory matters
- familiarity with AI regulatory landscape (IP, data licensing, model usage)
- experience using AI tools across workflow
- ability to provide clear, decisive guidance
- hands-on, high-ownership attitude
