Job Summary
Advise internal stakeholders on general business matters, including corporate structuring, joint ventures, human resources, transactions, contracts, and patient incidents. Prepare and negotiate contracts, lead corporate management initiatives, and analyze healthcare regulatory topics alongside the General Counsel and Compliance Officer. Liaise with outside counsel on specialized research and deputize for the General Counsel on legal matters while overseeing outside counsel on litigation. Supervise 1-2 legal department employees and operate autonomously with initiative. This role offers a pay range of $178,280-$222,850 with a discretionary bonus, based in Colorado Springs, CO, for a candidate with 7-10 years of legal experience and a JD.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of legal practice with a law firm or in-house legal department
- Good sense of judgment on practical risk vs. technical risk
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to operate autonomously, as appropriate, and desire to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills to fit in amongst collegial colleagues
- Juris doctorate degree required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Current state license to practice law required
- Located in or open to relocating to Colorado Springs, CO
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for willingness to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO (relocation expenses would be reimbursed)
- A remote position from elsewhere in the country
