Job Summary
Provide transactional legal support for DRW’s venture capital investments, joint ventures and M&A activity, and a broad range of commercial contracts. The role involves advising on term sheets, managing negotiation and execution of definitive documents, and providing post-execution support for portfolio and incubated companies; structure and negotiate joint ventures, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives; draft, review and negotiate trading-related agreements, software licenses, AI resources, data licenses, data-privacy related agreements, leases, services, vendor and confidentiality agreements, and other technology and commercial contracts. Requires 4+ years of transactional experience at a U.S. law firm, strong communication skills, and an in-office presence in Chicago at least four days per week. Salary range is $125,000 to $275,000 with eligibility for discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent
- 4+ years of transactional experience at a U.S. law firm
- Experience with transactional work related to trading, finance, technology, and/or digital assets is a plus
- Experience utilizing AI legal tools is a plus, willingness to learn and use more is required
- In-office presence in Chicago at least 4 days per week
- Must be comfortable working on unique transactions on tight timelines
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the firm
