Job Summary
Develop case strategies by researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, and triaging initiations. Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status and work with global mobility personnel to prepare petitions for government submission. Draft legal documents, conduct research to support client requests, and proactively communicate regarding procedural and case processing issues within SLAs. Directly or indirectly supervise junior Associates through mentoring and coaching while implementing guidance from experienced colleagues. Ensure self and team follow documented firm standards to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory, operational, and client compliance.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. JD or LLM required
- Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association
- 2-3 years of experience at Associate level
- Expanded practical understanding of immigration law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the aid of AI engines
- Dedication to exceptional client service
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Willingness to learn and effectively implement guidance and direction offered by supervisors and experienced colleagues
