Job Summary
Associate FPGA Engineer to develop and verify FPGA-based digital logic for small-satellite avionics. Responsibilities include FPGA design and verification (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog), creating device constraints, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and generation of FPGA images in Vivado and Libero. Support hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging on development kits and custom hardware; develop test scripts for embedded Linux and bare-metal platforms. Contribute to hardware architecture reviews, support make-vs-buy evaluations for IP cores, and participate in cross-disciplinary system engineering. Required skills include familiarity with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Microchip Libero), Git, and programming in C, C++, and Python; strong technical communication. Travel to the program's electronics development lab in University Park, PA, and occasional travel to Airbus facilities. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
- US Citizenship may be required per eligibility notes
- Experience with FPGAs is preferred
