Job Summary
Respond promptly to Members' requests for roadside assistance, including battery boosts, tire changes, lockout services, and fuel delivery. Maintain BCAA's high standards through friendly interactions, promote affiliate products, and ensure proper equipment care and documentation. Adhere strictly to safety policies, serve as a safety advocate, and support a 'Safety First' culture. This rolling 37.5-hour week features shifts of 8 to 11.25 hours scheduled one month in advance, with a one-year shift lock after joining the Shift Pick Pool. The role is a 12-month temporary full-time contract in Kelowna, offering potential for extension or permanent conversion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Certificate in a relevant field
- Up to 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably within automotive or towing and recovery or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Clean BC Driver License Class 5
- Proven track record in dealing with customer issues
- Capability of safely lifting at least 70lbs
- Confidence using technology (laptops, tablets and smartphones)
- Strong English communication skills
