Job Summary
Financial Consultant partners with licensed Financial Advisors to assist the FA with meeting and exceeding sales/referral goals. The primary objective is to participate in and complete the licensing process to move to an Associate Financial Advisor and gain industry experience to prepare for a career as a Financial Advisor. Responsibilities include studying for licensing exams, observing experienced advisors, assisting with training retail associates on referrals, coordinating with licensed bankers to organize events, attending compliance continuing education, travel with the assigned region to meet clients at Financial Centers or client locations, opening accounts, scheduling client appointments, assisting in training bankers, identifying investment opportunities, tracking referrals, and supporting revenue goals for branches and advisors. The role requires travel, strong organizational skills, client service, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 1 year of related experience preferably in Brokerage/Insurance and/or Banking/Retail
- Must be able to obtain FINRA series 7 and series 66 license within the first year of employment
- A current series 63 and 65 registration can substitute for the series 66
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain a multi-state Life and Health Insurance license within 90 days of employment
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
