Job Summary
Verify control panel installations, instruments, and wiring against manufacturer requirements and approved shop drawings during Level 2 commissioning. Confirm field device configuration, data signals, and network integration for Level 3 testing. Execute functional performance tests on control sequences, alarms, trends, and failure scenarios for Level 4 validation. Support system-level integration testing using SCADA to monitor equipment status and activate alarms across Level 5 activities. Lead point-to-point testing campaigns and serve as the primary technical contact with subcontractors and customers. Perform electrical checkout, voltage testing, and troubleshooting in industrial environments while adhering to strict safety specifications. Requires BS in engineering or equivalent technician experience, PLC/SCADA knowledge, and ability to travel up to 100% to U.S. project sites.
Required Qualifications
- BS Electrical, Computer, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- AA in Engineering Technology or equivalent field technician experience
- New Graduate or 0-2 years of field experience
- Understanding of or exposure to field instrumentation, hardware panels and low voltage controls design
- Understanding of control systems, components, PLC programming, SCADA programming and their applications
- Attention to all applicable safety specifications and standards
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on quality control

- Comfortable performing electrical/instrumentation checkout and troubleshooting (e.g., voltage testing, control panel wiring)
- Ability to work safely and effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, humidity, dust, and other environmental conditions typical of construction, industrial, and processing facilities
- Up to 100% travel to project sites
- Occasional weekend work
- Weekend travel up to two times per month
