Job Summary
Associate, Facilities role supporting building operations for Princeton & Cranbury, NJ. Responsibilities include assisting in the installation, maintenance and repairs of building equipment and systems; handling workstation relocations and setup for new hires; managing the facilities work request system and completing preventive and customer requests; ordering, maintaining, and stocking office, kitchen and restroom supplies; operating mail center, shipping and receiving; leveraging MS Office and web-based tools; and collaborating with the Facilities team to ensure secure, functional buildings. Requires high school diploma, 2+ years in facilities/construction-related work, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, use of power/hand tools, and knowledge of electrical/plumbing/HVAC systems; strong communication and prioritization skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college or tradeschool preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or related fields
- Proficient with computer usage including Microsoft Office, email, internet research
- Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds with material handling equipment
- Ability to work with power and hand tools and perform minor repairs/installations
- Experience with shipping/receiving, mailroom operations, and online shipping systems preferred
- Experience with building card access and security systems preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC mechanical/control systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction and prioritize
