Job Summary
Associate Facilities Plant Civil Engineer at Boeing in the Puget Sound area (Renton and Seattle, WA). Responsible for supporting facilities critical to manufacturing and airplane production, leading large-scale electrical infrastructure and multi-discipline facility projects from concept through design, permitting, construction, and close-out. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze infrastructure needs, develop project plans and budgets, select materials and vendors, ensure regulatory and building-code compliance, and advance asset reliability and lifecycle modernization across Boeing’s manufacturing and testing facilities. Mentors junior engineers and interacts with project managers, regulatory professionals, and external stakeholders; extensive experience with AutoCAD and engineering drawings is expected. Relocation not offered; U.S. export controls apply; unionized, on-site role with contingent maintenance and safety considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Structural, Civil or Aerospace Engineering or Physics from an ABET accredited program
- 1+ years of experience in operations, engineering, and maintenance practices across various facilities and infrastructure systems, including but not limited to architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
- 1+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, schematics, and construction specifications
- 1+ years of experience using AutoCAD or similar software
