Job Summary
Associate on small deal teams to evaluate sub-investment grade credit opportunities, analyze asset portfolios, develop sophisticated pricing and valuation models, and participate in the execution, monitoring and management of corporate bonds, structured credit, and asset-backed investments. Build and test complex financial models, stratify and analyze large data sets for trend identification and forecasting, assist in asset management and reporting, review negotiation of legal documents, and prepare materials to present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee. Requires undergrad degree in a technical/quantitative field, strong quantitative and modeling skills, familiarity with cross-asset-class investments, ability to communicate effectively, and adaptability across jurisdictions; exposure to AI tools and data-driven analysis is a plus; embodies integrity, partnership, and high performance.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., financial economics, statistics, engineering)
- Strong quantitative, technical, financial modeling, analytical and valuation skills; ability to model portfolios and structured finance opportunities
- Experience with building complex financial models to analyze investments, asset portfolios, and financing structures
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; team-oriented and adaptable across asset classes and jurisdictions
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their uses in data processing, analysis and decision-making
- Demonstrated investment experience and passion for investing and for analyzing and modeling large datasets
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure; strong interpersonal and relationship skills
- Knowledge of credit markets, sub-investment grade opportunities, and cross-over structured credit and loans
- Comfort with presenting investment recommendations to investment committees
- Experience negotiating legal documents related to investments
