Job Summary
Prepare estimates for various projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods. Read contract documents, perform quantity take-offs, and organize pricing information while soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Communicate with subs and suppliers to clarify pricing, prepare estimate formats for general conditions and bid analysis, and assist staff with special projects. Champion predictable outcomes and integrity in all estimating tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management, proficiency in Microsoft Suite and preferred software like Destini Estimator and Revit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to operate office equipment, such as computer, printer, phone, copier, fax, etc
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Appropriate knowledge of construction practices and methods
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred working knowledge of Destini Estimator software, BlueBeam, Assemble, and other latest software and technology
- Preferred working knowledge of On Screen Take-off
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Preferred working knowledge of Revit and Primavera systems
