Job Summary
Prepare estimates for various projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods. Read contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda to perform quantity take-offs and organize pricing data. Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers while communicating with them to clarify pricing information. Prepare estimate formats covering general conditions, bidding, and bid analysis, then assist with preparing bid proposals for submittal and creating outline schedules. Support staff members with special projects and collaborate with project teams to ensure cost accuracy. Champion the company's approach to delivering predictable outcomes and maintaining integrity through honesty, safety, and quality work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred working knowledge of Destini Estimator software, BlueBeam, Assemble, and other latest software and technology
- Preferred working knowledge of On Screen Take-off
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to operate office equipment, such as computer, printer, phone, copier, fax, etc
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Appropriate knowledge of construction practices and methods
- Working knowledge of Revit and Primavera systems preferred
