Job Summary
Associate to join the Healthcare pod within the Securities Selection team in Active Equities. Responsible for conducting fundamental investment research, building recommendations, implementing fundamental investments strategies, monitoring and managing portfolio investments in the biopharma domain, and supporting identification, scoping, and implementation of value creation opportunities through research, analysis, and presentations. Duties include compiling industry and asset data, performing due diligence, developing financial models and valuation analyses, presenting research ideas to the broader group, preparing analytical investment reviews, and assisting in the preparation and delivery of investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and Board as required.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in relevant field
- An advanced degree or certification (CFA) is an asset
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong research, analytical, financial modeling, valuation, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Experience working in deal environments including supporting acquisitions, diligence and/or asset management activities
- Advanced computer/technical skills – MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
