Job Summary
Associate Equipment Specialist is a technical, hands-on role focusing on learning and operating shop machinery (mills, lathes, saws, drills) and fabricating fixtures/tools to support efficient product assembly. Responsibilities include completing projects under supervision, reading and interpreting blueprints, understanding geometric tolerancing, solving moderately complex problems, fabricating and debugging fixtures, gages, and tooling, verifying accuracy with various measuring techniques, lifting up to 25 pounds, and coordinating priorities within the department. Preferred qualifications include basic CAD experience and MasterCam knowledge, plus 1+ year in a comparable mechanical position. The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and technical specs, and strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills, with adaptability to fast-paced conditions and teamwork. Additional duties as assigned.
