Job Summary
Litigate environmental and mass tort matters in federal forums while supporting investigations, enforcement, and defense strategy. Analyze dense regulatory schemes and agency guidance to translate findings into case strategy and client-ready work product. Draft motions, briefs, and agency submissions; manage discovery and experts. Interact directly with clients and cross-office teams from day one. This role offers hands-on work with partners who try cases and resolve agency actions within a national AmLaw 100 firm's recognized environmental dispute practice.
Required Qualifications
- JD class years 2018–2022
- Experience in federal environmental litigation
- Exceptional research and writing
- Disciplined project ownership with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Civil enforcement background
- Government-side enforcement experience
- Familiarity with DOJ/agency enforcement approaches
- Strong grasp of environmental and administrative law concepts
