Job Summary
Conduct accident/incident investigations and provide recommended corrective actions while managing the Respiratory Protection Program and onsite Emergency Response Team. Lead Safety & Environmental training classes and oversee universal, recycling, and hazardous waste management. Prepare environmental reports for local, state, and federal agencies. Apply knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, and semiconductor process chemicals to identify and resolve issues in compliance with Cal-OSHA and federal regulations. Work on-site in Roseville, CA, Monday through Friday with overtime and on-call availability when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of Safety & Environmental regulations and procedures
- Familiar with industrial hygiene monitoring methods and equipment
- Understanding of basic safety management practices
- Familiar with Federal and State hazardous waste management requirements
- Understanding of air pollution abatement
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes
- Ability to interpret governmental/statutory regulations, policies and procedures and execute accordingly to ensure compliance
- Understanding of Cal-OSHA regulations
- Understanding of International Fire Code
- Understanding of hazardous waste management
- Understanding of air quality & water discharge permits
- Understanding of building codes
- Understanding of mechanical codes
- Understanding of plumbing codes
- Understanding of hazardous material handling plans
- Understanding of emergency response
- Must be able to work on site in Roseville, CA
- Must be available Monday- Friday
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be available for on call when necessary
- Indefinite US work authorized individuals only
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Level: 0-2 years exp at a manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred
- Engineer Level: 2-4 years exp at manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred
- preferably have a current board certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist
- preferably have a current board certification as a Certified Safety Professional
- Direct experience in CA is preferred
