Associate (Entry Level) Criminal Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary
Analyze data to establish trends within facilities and potential areas of interest, utilizing specialized software for data mining and link analysis. Monitor offender telephone calls, prepare analysis and recommendations for proper responses to gathered intelligence, and proactively develop intelligence to assist in accomplishing facility objectives. Submit detailed reports regarding intelligence findings and regular updates to superiors, while providing guidance and training to facility staff. Fulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized and participate in court or administrative hearings. This primarily remote/virtual position based in the Columbus, OH area requires occasional travel to the client site.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or four years of related experience in lieu of a degree or a combination of education/experience
- A concentration in Criminal Justice, Security and Intelligence, or a Business-related field
- 0-2 years of experience as a criminal intelligence analyst
- An equivalent substitution of experience with a government law enforcement or military agency performing technical tasks such as research, reviewing written documentation to identify and extract relevant information, completing investigate reports, court document, or statistical data
- Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of intelligence processes in a correctional environment to include institutional operations and criminal procedures
- Demonstrate fundamental understanding of investigative and intelligence processes to include the intelligence cycle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Suite
- Ability to learn ViaPath and third-party software applications within the first six months of hire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills with an interest and ability to conduct analysis and report on findings
- Pro-active
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Fluency (written and verbal) in English
- Must be based in the Columbus, OH area
- Requirement to travel to the client site in Columbus as needed
Desired Qualifications
- A concentration in Criminal Justice, Security and Intelligence, or a Business-related field
- Fluency (written and verbal) in Spanish
